The former blacksmith and blacksmith workshop of the Egri brothers, highly regarded throughout the city, is considered a rarity, as two trades were usually not practiced anywhere in the same place. On the other hand, it is indisputable that the blacksmith’s craft in Topolya dates back to the 18th century. it had a long tradition from the 19th century onwards. In the 1940s, we are aware of forty forges. Cars made in Topolya were popular all over the Southern Region. The blacksmiths in Topola knew the ins and outs of ironwork. Based on the typical Topolya metal patterns, a type of cart is called a Topolya cart. At the moment, the interior of the blacksmith’s and carpenter’s workshop can be seen almost in its entirety, as well as a black sand runner in good condition.
The workshop is open to visitors from spring to autumn, and group visits are possible every day of the year after prior consultation.
