Jegrička is an autochthonous river in  Bačka and it is 64,5 km long. The stream lost original look when the river bed was rearranged. It does not have a usual spring and represent a system of connected ponds where water runs out to its mouth into the river Tisa. Its flows through the municipality of Temerin with the length of 18 km, which is 28% of its total length.

The small river Jegrička, a real natural oasis , is a shelter of various protected plant and animal species. The landscapes attract more visitors , eager of natual environment , recreation, peace and quiet on the river bank. You can enjoy walking along the paths of health and birdwatching, riding on catamaran and wooden boats, kayaks,  fishing…

Jegrička is on the International  List of Important Birds habitats (IBA ,1997) and it has the international importance as botanical area ( IPA, 2005). It is a protected area under the protection thretment of the second and third level. It has been managed by the Public Water Menagment Company “Vode Vojvodine”.
