The house that belonged to the Popović family is located on the site of the former Great Market (today named St. Teodor’s Square – pedestrian area). Today, the upper floor of this house is open for tourist tours. Visitors can see the premises of a well-furnished town house of a well-to-do merchant family. There is Steria’s original desk, a bookshelf, the original manuscripts of Steria’s works are presented in display cases, as well as one of the portraits of the famous artist painted by renowned Serbian artist Uroš Predić. This house was bequeathed by Steria’s brother, Đorđe Popović, to the Serbian Orthodox Church.
