Lole Ribara br. 1 Ratkovo
The Serbian-German ethnic house in Ratkovo was officially opened in August 2012. It is located in the very center of Ratkovo across the street from the Catholic Church of St. Ivan Nepomuk.
This house used to be the parish office, and today it houses several thousand exhibits that show the way of living, culture and tradition of the Serbian and German population. The exhibits originate mainly from the first half of the 20th century, and the collection of costumes of the Danube Swabians, which can still be seen only in the native museum of the Germans of Parabuća in Bad Schönborn, is particularly valuable.
In addition to the part of the exhibition dedicated to the Ratkovo Germans, one room is equipped with authentic pieces of furniture, clothing and objects for everyday use that were an integral part of every Serbian house in Ratkovo. The Women’s Association “Parabuć” from Ratkovo is responsible for collecting these exhibits, which also represent a valuable ethnic collection.
