In 2015, the Serbian Reading Room in Irig initiated the renovation of the house where a well-known citizen of Irig, Borislav Mihajlovic Mihiz, was born. In 2019, Mihiz’s Birth House was completely restored and equipped. There is a memorial room in the house with Mihiz’s library, 30 highly valuable icons painted on glass, which are part of Mihiz’s legacy, as well as personal belongings. This memorial room is going to be equipped with more objects in the near future. There is also a small room with a capacity of 30 seats in Mihiz’s Birth House where promotions, literary meetings, lectures, workshops and small exhibitions are held.
