Szécen’s palace in Temerin gives a special touch to local history and culture. The walls over two centuries old remember a lot of significant events. Szécen’s palace is objects of clear stylistic characteristics, of the elegant and simple Baroque Classicism. The residential noble object has been preserved in it’s authentic shape. Szécen’s palace was built in 1795 by Szécen family. According to the availible data, Szécen family ruled Temerin for many years and lived in palace where thay led a very luxurious life. During the conflicts in 1848 the Szécen family left the palace that had sustained a lot of damages. In the 1874 the last descendant of the family sold the property and the palace to the rich merchant Antal Fernabah , and that was the beginning of the new perion in life of Szécen’s palace. Thanks to family Fernabah and Ana Fernbah especially , the palace and the park around it looked like castles in France and England. As a significant cultural property Szécen’s palase was put under the protection in 1949. Now days the palace is used as the object of the secondary school „Lukijan Mušicki“.
